Highly anticipated presentation for new cohort of the Hertfordshire Film & TV Supply Chain Innovation Programme takes place at the prestigious Sky Studios Elstree

The presentation for cohort 2 of the Hertfordshire Film & TV Supply Chain Innovation Programme took place on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at the prestigious Sky Studios Elstree.

This event marks the culmination of an intensive 8-week programme aimed at empowering local business leaders to thrive within the flourishing TV and film production ecosystem of Hertfordshire and is the second in a series of exciting opportunities. 

The Supply Chain Innovation Programme, funded by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and Innovate UK as part of the Create Growth Programme, has been instrumental in providing participants with invaluable insights and practical tools to enhance their roles in the industry’s supply chain. Delivered by Estu and the Royal College of Art, in association with Hertfordshire’s major studios, the programme has equipped businesses with the skills and knowledge necessary to develop innovative and sustainable value propositions. 

Attendees had the unique opportunity to: 

  • Present their newly developed value propositions 
  • Receive insights on sector procurement and trends from key industry figures 
  • Network and establish connections with other local businesses and industry leaders 
  • Tour Sky Studios Elstree, gaining first-hand experience of one of the industry’s leading production facilities 

Throughout the programme, participants engaged in live talks, interactive workshops, and small group exercises, applying practical and transferable frameworks such as Design Thinking to their business strategies. The grand finale event featured presentations from programme participants, showcasing the innovative solutions and collaborative efforts fostered during the programme. 

The Supply Chain Innovation Programme has proven to be a transformative experience for its participants, offering them the tools and connections needed to succeed in the competitive world of TV and film production. The grand finale promises to be a landmark event, fostering new collaborations and paving the way for future growth and innovation within the sector.
