Hertfordshire Futures ‘Get Enterprising’ Programme: Empowering Entrepreneurs and Driving Growth
Wenta, our delivery partner for the Get Enterprising programme, has been instrumental in helping entrepreneurs turn big ideas into thriving businesses. Their hands-on support this year has led to some incredible results, showcasing the impact of the right guidance across various industries.
The Get Enterprising programme is designed to give ambitious Hertfordshire businesses the tools they need to succeed. Through one-to-one advice, workshops, and networking opportunities, entrepreneurs learn to turn ideas into action and make real progress.
This initiative, bolstered by UKSPF funding and contributions from nine local authority partners, provides targeted support to budding entrepreneurs and nascent businesses.
Key Achievements
This year, support has translated into impressive numbers, with each figure representing real businesses, real people, and real growth driven by a dedication to helping entrepreneurs succeed:
Interest in enterprise and starting a business remains high. The current pipeline showcases a diverse mix of early-stage and pre-start businesses, with 70% of the pipeline comprising pre-start enterprises and 30% representing early-stage businesses. This distribution highlights the programme’s focus on nurturing new business ideas and supporting entrepreneurs from the very beginning of their journey.
One notable success story is Amy Sergeant, founder of Feminine Rhythm, which supports women dealing with PMDD. With our help, Amy gained the confidence and strategies to bring her idea to life, refining her approach to better connect with her audience. Read her story here.
The Get Enterprising programme is a testament to Hertfordshire Futures’ dedication to creating a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem. By providing essential resources, guidance, and support, the programme lays the foundation for future business success in the region.
