Meet the Hertfordshire winners of the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise 2021

Congratulations to all the Hertfordshire businesses that have won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2021. The Queen’s Awards celebrate exemplary businesses across the UK and their achievements in the fields of Innovation, International Trade, Sustainable Development, and Promoting Opportunity.

Of the total 205 winners, nine outstanding Hertfordshire businesses have been honoured with awards, including four for Innovation and five for International Trade.

Among those recognised are regulatory consultancy DLRC, whose founder Dianne Lee is a member of the Hertfordshire LEP Board; and digital imaging technology specialist FFEI, whose CEO Andy Cook was a former Hertfordshire LEP Business Envoy and member of the Skills & Employment Board. Hertfordshire winners also include Makevale, Silixia, Detectortesters, iTrinegy, London Examination Board, and Premier Ship Models (pictured).

Awards for Innovation

FFEI Ltd, Hemel Hempstead
Specialism: innovative digital pathology imaging technology, creating ultra-high resolution, colour calibrated digital images of human tissue.

Specialism: a data exploitation tool, revolutionising aspects of digital forensics to solve more crime and save lives.

The company commented: "Criminals are continuously innovating, and therefore, so too must we. Receiving the Queen’s Award is a badge of honour that we wear with pride. It’s affirmation of what the company does and a recognition of what we have achieved.
