Retrofit: Greener Homes
This programme aims to develop the county's retrofit capacity and capability, offering targeted interventions, including a business grant scheme to support the training needs of employers interested in offering a retrofit product or service; and a training provider grant scheme to support providers looking to develop or expand their existing training provision.

Hertfordshire Futures also supports residents looking to retrain or upskill via Skills Bootcamps on topics relating to retrofit, green skills and construction.
Create Growth Programme
Led by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport in partnership with Innovate UK, the Create Growth Programme supports high growth potential SMEs that are either part of the film and TV sector, or interested in joining its supply chain.
As part of the programme, Hertfordshire Futures is leading the delivery of business support in the county, which includes targeted interventions to help SMEs to: boost innovation and secure more commercial opportunities for their business; accelerate the development of new high value products and services; and become 'investment ready'.
Skills Bootcamps
Managed by Hertfordshire Futures, Skills Bootcamps give adults aged 19+ a chance to hone sector-specific skills to enhance their employability, progress in the workplace and break into a new industry.
The programme is free for learners and open to all, regardless of employment status, with short courses in Film and TV, Digital, Net Zero/Green, Health, Construction and Management.
Employers can put forward their own employees to attend Skills Bootcamps to develop new skills that their business needs by making a small contribution towards the cost of the programme.
Solar Together
Solar Together is group buying scheme for solar PV, electric vehicle charging and battery storage systems. The scheme is open to all Hertfordshire residents, as well as SMEs, providing them with a chance to lower their energy bills and carbon footprint.
To participate in the scheme, you must be the owner of the roof on which you want to install a Solar PV system, or have the explicit approval of the owner.

The service is free of charge and aims to stabilise businesses and set them on a trajectory of growth, helping to boost local job creation and economic contribution. Get Enterprising is a Hertfordshire Futures programme delivered by Wenta and STANTA.

Our Hertfordshire Opportunities Programme provides businesses with independent, impartial advice to help them engage effectively with education, employment and training solutions. HOP’s Skills Advisors help employers to assess their staff requirements and future skills needs; upskill existing staff through qualifications/career progression programmes; and effectively engage with schools and colleges to build their future talent pipeline.

Hertfordshire Film Office works to maximise the potential of the county's thriving film and TV sector. It provides a film location service which matches productions seeking places to film with their ideal locations in Hertfordshire. It also supports with securing highways permits, production advice and guidance, skills outreach and development programmes, and film tourism development (in partnership with Visit Herts).
